Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Mobile Pet Salon In Hillsborough



James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.


The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.

James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.

PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt animal abuse farms by using one. He mentioned that he used the same method for his own dogs.

Fox called Puppylux, and she answered but immediately handed the phone to a female who said they were investigating these allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
